Frequently Asked Questions — Bankstown
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist at your Canberra clinic?
No. You can book directly without a GP referral. If you would like to access Medicare
rebates, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP — but this is not
required to book your first appointment. Contact your GP to ask whether a plan suits
your situation.
I am a Commonwealth public servant. Can you treat me under Comcare??
Yes, if you have an approved psychological injury claim under Comcare. The treatment
process differs from standard Medicare-funded psychology — your sessions are
approved through Comcare rather than a GP plan, and we handle the clinical reporting
required by your insurer. Contact us with your claim details and we will walk you through
the process.
Do you see Australian Defence Force personnel or veterans?
Yes. We regularly see current and former ADF members and are experienced working
with the presentations common to service life and transition, including PTSD, moral
injury, relationship strain, and career adjustment. If your treatment is funded through
DVA or a specific ADF program, contact us to discuss your eligibility.
Can I access NDIS psychology at your Canberra clinic?
Yes. We support NDIS participants in the ACT under plan-managed and self-managed
funding. We provide both psychological assessments and ongoing therapy. Get in touch
to confirm whether your NDIS funding category covers the specific service you need.
Is parking free at your Symonston clinic?
Yes. There is free street parking at 14 Wormald Street, as well as paid on site parking.
Do you offer telehealth for Canberra clients?

Yes. All of our Canberra-based psychologists offer telehealth sessions. This is a good
option if you work irregular hours, travel frequently, or are based in a part of the ACT or
surrounding NSW region where attending in person is difficult.
